“Whatever you did today, that was enough.”

I heard this simple but so profound quote while listening to an IG live from @themattyjames. She too is a mom. To hear her say these words was eye opening, it was a challenging week. Juggling two children and working hard to try to grow and do well with a business, along with many other responsibilities in my life, definitely leaves me with a very long To-Do List, every day.

Hearing a woman, wife, mother, and prospering business woman relate this quote was such a positive, strong reminder that all of us women need to give ourselves a break. Especially if we have families, jobs, and many other long list of responsibilities. It can be so stressful to have to complete as much as we can in a day, and yet at the end of that day still feel as though “nothing got done.” When in reality although we might not have completed all the tasks that we wanted to, we need to remind ourselves and realistically think, yes, I did do a lot. And there will be days when your “a lot” is literally just completing two things. Even that in itself, though, is an accomplishment. Completing whatever you did means that you got out of bed, and you worked! No matter what that work was, “you. did. that!”

I hope this quote motivates you as much as it does me. Remember to remind yourself that it is better to complete two things and fill accomplished than 20 and still beat yourself up.

Make it a goal, with me, to tell yourself at the end of each day “whatever you did today, that was enough.”

Until Next Time,
Amanda
