“Exposure leads to expansion.”
Have you heard that quote before? The first time I heard it was on a podcast related to business and I had to actually pause the broadcast because after I head it I said “wait a minute that's a deep quote.” After I paused it, I wrote it down and thought about it briefly. Of course, this quote can be applied to so many different situations and in different ways. But when it comes to growth, exposure is needed. What that means is in order to, for example, better yourself or even learn something new, to expand or grow in that area, we have to expose ourselves to knowledge. Expose ourselves to things or people that will get us to the growth we hope to reach.
At the time I am writing this, it is a rainy day. It's gloomy, it's wet. But this situation reminds me that even in dark times or difficult situations we can still be surrounding ourselves or exposing ourselves to things that will get us out of that difficult situation. For example, many of us, including myself, like to take time on rainy days to read, or think, or rest. Those activities help with expansion, whether we realize it or not. Some are so used to the hustle and bustle of life and doing “all the things”, that they don’t realize even resting to think and analyze leads to growth.
So if you, like myself all the time, are aiming to reach a certain goal or a new mindset surrounding something in particular, be sure to find people or resources that will help you get closer to your goal, through exposure.
Until Next Time,
Amanda
